I hadn't uploaded any pictures from our camera since July, so it took a LONG time this morning to put them on the computer! The poor blog has been neglected for so long, I didn't even know where to start:( So, I am going to post some pictures from each month to catch up a little!

Graham has done really well with Jake. He is a little indifferent towards him...he hasn't really been jealous, but he doesn't give him a lot of attention either. Every once in a while, we will catch him helping Jake, like in this picture, or talking to or playing with him:)

We had lots of hot days for Graham to play outside in the water:)

Sweet Jake slept in his carseat the first two months of his life:)

Sadly, these are the only pictures we have of Graham holding Jake! He never wanted to hold him, and it was one thing we couldn't force. But we are so thankful to have these:)

Graham always pretends to put on his raincoat, so he was so proud when I brought this home one day!!

Jake Taylor

Jake was born on June 23!! We were thrilled that he decided to come almost three weeks early! He weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. and was 21 inches long! What a blessing he is to our family!

Bowling

Graham got to go bowling for the first time in June! He had a great time with his friends from church...as always, it took him a little while to warm up to it, but he loved it once he realized he could carry his own ball!

Mindy and I tried really hard to get a picture of Graham and Jacob...this is the best one I got. Maybe Mindy had better luck:)

Fun at the Lake

We had fun on Memorial Day at Yates Lake! Sam and Graham have become best buddies this summer!! DoDad with all of his grandkids! They sure do love him!!
Graham and Sam LOVED playing with the big kids' Nintendo "BS's" as Sam says!

I felt pretty bad that weekend, but we still had a great time! We are trying to spend as much time with Whitney and Marcus as we can before they go to Peru!

Day Out With Thomas

We got to celebrate my 30th birthday by taking Graham to see Thomas the Train! He had so much fun and loved riding the trains!

Some Fun Memories

Graham had a great time when Papa came to visit!! We went and ate at a hibachi steak house for the first time with Graham and he loved it!! Can you tell he loves Papa?

He is so proud of his baseball gear! He wanted me to take pictures of him the other day dressed up like a baseball player.

Notice that he has on my running shorts over his neck. They were supposed to be his baseball shorts like daddy wears.

He loves BIG work, as he calls it! He points out every track hoe or dump truck we see and knows/remembers where they are doing work around Mobile! He loves playing with his tools and Justin's tools! Whenever Justin is outside working, he always has a helper right there beside him! This day, I was painting outside and didn't want Graham's clothes to get paint on them; that is why he only has on a diaper. BUT, that didn't stop him from doing his work!

Easter Weekend

Graham had a great time at our playgroup's Easter Egg Hunt. He got plenty of eggs, but he did just what I expected. He found an egg and instantly opened it to see what was inside. I don't know that we had any eggs with candy in them by the time we got home:)
Graham got his first baseball glove on Easter morning! He was so excited and has played with it almost everyday since! Graham has always loved sports, but he has really enjoyed going to Justin's softball games on Monday nights! As of now, baseball is his favorite!

We are not the best at taking pictures, so of course we didn't get any pictures of us before church. These were taken after his nap...you can always tell if he had a good nap by how curly his hair is when he wakes up!

The girls across the street were playing in the sprinklers, and he couldn't wait to take off his shirt and join them!

Anything Outdoors

Graham has always loved spending time outside, and we have had some great weather this spring! These are some pictures one of his first times fishing. He has watched before, but I think this was the first time he got to have his own fishing pole. DoDad had his hands full! Graham loves spending time with his cousins!
Graham actually touched the fish and was so proud.
One of the biggest events of the spring was Graham's first campout! Our church had a Father/Son Campout...Graham was the youngest camper by a couple of years, but he didn't let that slow him down! It sounds like he had a ton of fun!!

This is blurry, but I thought it was cute. You can tell how excited he is to be waking up in the tent. He must have been really tired...he slept until 8, and the sun was up by 6:30.

Graham loved playing with the big boys! They were so sweet to him.

I think his favorite part of the campout was playing in the creek.

Beach Weekend

We were able to spend a long weekend in Destin with Mom and Dad in March! It was a cool weekend, but we had a great time!

On our way home, we decided to spend the day in Seaside! Graham LOVED riding bikes through Seaside and Watercolor:)

Graham turned 2 in November! Wow, time sure does go by fast with little ones! We started out the day with two doughnuts from Krispy Kreme!!

His birthday was the week before Thanksgiving, so we had a party in Tupelo and DeKalb with both of our familes!

I think it is easy to see that he liked his cupcakes:) I think he had 3!

He also had plenty of help opening his presents with the Ueltschey kids around! They love him and help take good care of him!

He loved all of his presents! He got lots of trains and race cars!

Graham would live outside! I guess it is a good thing that we live in Mobile, where we can

be outside almost every day! Graham loves to help Justin outside!

Graham is a funny boy! He can say so many words, but he chooses not to say some things!! He would never say, "I love you." So, we taught him to cross his hands over his heart to sign, "I love you." Well, this is his version of it! It is so sweet!!

Halloween

Graham had a blast at Halloween this year! He was a lion because at the time, he love roaring!

He loved trick-or-treating at some of our neighbors houses. There is no telling how much candy he ate that night! He is not smiling in this picture, but by the end of the night, he LOVED giving the candy to the kids that came by!

Farm

We had a such a fun time at Parker's birthday party at The Barnyard. Graham LOVED it!! They had tons of animals. He loved riding on the horse...we couldn't believe it. He is so shy usually, but he hopped right on and smiled the whole time!

He also got to sit on a mule.

Pumpkin Patch

I am super picky about pumpkin patches...it really, really bothers me when people pile up pumpkins and say that it is a pumpkin patch! I would rather drive to the country and visit the "real" pumpkin patch where the pumpkins were actually grown.

Well, today we went to a "pumpkin patch" that wasn't real, but as you can see, Graham loved it!!! How can I complain about that!! We all had a great time, and it was the perfect day to be outside!

MSU vs. LSU

We took Graham to his first MSU football game! He had a blast!! It started out as a very rainy, yucky day, but he was a trooper! We got to spend some time tailgating with Emily and Troy and had a blast!! We got there around 9 and didn't leave until almost 7..we were shocked that Graham was happy and made it the whole day!!!

He loved the game! There was so much to entertain him! He loved wearing his new MSU cap...now anytime football is on tv, he has to put on his cap! The popcorn entertained him for at least 1 quarter!

Right before half time, he decided to take a little snooze. We couldn't believe he slept with all of the noise...especially the cowbells. But, a 20 minute nap was enough to keep him happy the rest of the day!

Graham didn't cheer at the game at all, but as soon as we left the stadium, he started cheering, "Go State, Go!" He has a MSU football book that he wants to read at least once a day now!

Beach Trip

We were lucky enough to go to Orange Beach for a week in September with Nonnie, Poppie, Brandie, Tim, and Drew! We had a wonderful time! Graham and Drew were great and had a ball! Graham loved swimming this year!

This is the second year in a row that we have gotten to see baby sea turtles hatch! What a neat experience!!!

Graham never lays down except when he is sleeping. But the pool and beach wore him out! Almost everyday, he got in our bed and watched tv for a little while...so sweet!

Drew loved the beach, but Graham didn't care for it so much during this trip! He liked it for about 20 minutes, and then was ready to go!

Brandie and Tim are much better at taking pictures than we are, so hopefully they got some really good ones!!

Sweet Graham

Graham is a such a fun age! He'll be two in November, and time is passing by too quickly! It seems like he is learning and saying more everyday!

* This boy loves any kind of sport. This is him going to bed with a ball in each hand!

* He will not say, "Graham." If you ask him what his name is, he says, "Me!" Justin called him Graham-bo when he was a baby. He will repeat that if you ask him to, but not Graham.

* He loves pancakes. Just about anytime you ask him what he wants to eat, he will say, "Pancakes!"

*Graham doesn't like ice cream. We can't ever get him to try it or eat more than one bite. He does love these little ice cream cones, but if you can see...he eats the chocolate off of the ice cream and eats the cone, but leaves the ice cream:)

* Graham loves going to "Home -Poe" with Justin. He loves going to Home Depot or Lowes with Justin on the weekends! He starts screaming Home-Poe any time we pass either one of them!

Baseball

Graham loves any sport that involves a ball! Lately, one of his favorites is baseball. Anytime we turn on the tv, he wants to watch either baseball or football! Here is a video of him playing t-ball recently.

Smith Lake

After the Goldman reunion, we headed to Smith Lake to spend some time with my family! Thankfully, this trip was a little cooler. Graham had a blast with all 4 of the Ueltschey kids...he is sometimes a little timid around them, but he loved every minute this time!! He loved riding on the boat!

Katie was smart to leave her sunglasses on. It was bright!

Graham also enjoyed his first kayak ride! He rode with DoDad a couple of times, and then went on one long ride with Justin!

Goldman Reunion

As always we had a great time at the Goldman Reunion this year!! It was HOT, but we all still managed to have a wonderful time!

Graham and Drew had a great time playing together, and the both LOVED spending time with their Papa!

They all wore Macy, Mackenzie, and Maggie out! Graham spent as much time as he could with these girls! They are always so sweet to the little ones!

Summer Fun

Graham and I got to spend a few days in Destin with MiMi and DoDad. We had a great time, even though it was HOT!

Graham loved spending time with DoDad. They went and ate pancakes together and got to ride on some boats at Bass Pro Shop! Anytime dad would leave, Graham would look around the condo for him.

Graham loves going to the beach, but until this trip he wouldn't touch the sand. He finally decided it was ok to walk on the sand if he had his crocs on!

We are taking Graham to the circus this afternoon, and he is getting excited about spending next weekend at the Goldman Reunion!!

Always Outside

Graham wants to spend as much time as possible outside! His favorite place to play is behind all of the bushes!

He also loves playing with his new water table! He gets soaking wet when he plays with it, but it entertains him for hours! We are changing clothes alot these days!!

Birthday at the Beach

On Friday, Justin and Graham took me to the beach for the day! We had a great time, and I had a wonderful birthday. The weather was perfect!

Graham didn't care for the sand or the water, BUT he LOVED watching the birds and the airplanes...two of his favorite things! This was the only time he stepped in the sand...to chase the birds. The rest of the day was spent in a chair or on a towel; he wouldn't touch the sand!

Graham even got to take a golf lesson from Justin! He takes a golf club with him everywhere these days!

He loved playing with a bucket of water! He could have done this for hours.

But, he couldn't stay awake for hours! He had a great nap on the beach, so we were even able to go out to dinner before we came home!

I just realized that it has been a long time since I posted pictures of Graham, so I added a ton! I never think that we have any good pictures, but of course, I found plenty to post.

Graham loved eating his chocolate duck that was in his Easter basket. He ate the whole thing!
This is the only picture we took of Graham before church...too bad his mouth is full!
He loved opening and closing the eggs. We didn't want him to eat too much candy, so we put vanilla wafers and Goldfish in the eggs. He was one happy camper! This kid can eat some carbs...he stands by the pantry door numerous times a day and points to all of the snacks we have. Graham crackers, vanilla wafers, Goldfish, and cereal are his favorites.
The following are just some pictures of Graham having fun outside! The weather has been beautiful, so he has had lots of time to play out there!

These are my favorite. Graham got a lawn mower for Christmas and has loved pushing it around, but tonight was the first night he got to mow with Justin! He was so proud and took his job very seriously!

We also just got Graham's little pool out. This is as close as he will get! He loves looking at it, but he doesn't want to touch the water! He loves playing with the water hose, so we were surprised that he wouldn't get too close to the pool.

Talking Up a Storm

Graham has been talking so much more lately. It seems like he learns a new word everyday or two. They have come in a strange order though. For example, we have been talking/singing about farm animals since he was born, but the first animal sounds he learned were the lion and the owl.

I got an embroidery machine a couple of weeks ago! I finally have everything I need to start making things! It has been so much fun, and I can't wait to make some summer clothes for Graham!

Things We LOVE

About Graham

1. He has the cutest smile and chubby cheeks!

2. He started calling "MaMa" when I leave the room!

3. Anytime we hear or see an airplane, he holds his little left hand in the air and says, "Eeh, Eeh!"

4. He loves to push the button to open/close the garage door anytime we come in or out of the house.

5. He smacks his lips together when it's time to eat or when he's hungry.

6. No matter what kind of afternoon we've had, as soon as Justin gets home, Graham is as happy as can be!

7. He is all boy! He loves throwing and kicking the ball, plaing with cars and trucks, his train, etc. He also loves playing outside.

8. We only let him have his pacifier in his bed. So when I get him out of his bed, he leans over and throws his paci in his bed!

We found out yesterday that Graham is getting tubes put in on Wednesday! We are SO excited! Graham has had 5 ear infections since August and has been on antibiotics every month since then. The sweet little guy has been "almost" walking since Thanksgiving, so this should help him with his walking as well!

New Slide

One of Graham's Christmas presents was a new slide! He LOVES it!!! We have spent a ton of time outside since we got back home. He climbed right up (all by himself) on his first try. Then, he went face forward down the slide.

Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas celebrating the birth of our savior! We were able to be in MS for a long time and made lots of memories with our families! Sadly, the first two pictures were the only pictures we took in Tupelo, but at least all 5 kids were looking!

We were walking down the stairs to see what Santa brought! I was a little more excited than Graham was!

He got tons of books for Christmas and has enjoyed reading them all!!

November Update

One rainy day, we made a playhouse out of a box. It entertained Graham for a while!

We got to keep Sam for a whole week while the rest of his sweet family went to Disney World! We had so much fun!!! Sam is the easiest baby ever!

We spent Thanksgiving day with my parents. I have the best sisters!!!

Graham is no longer taking a bottle or drinking formula!! It was an easy switch...thankfully! He won't take a regular sippy cup, but he loves these straw cups!

Graham's Birthday Parties

On Graham's birthday, we celebrated by giving him chocolate ice cream for the first time. Can you tell that he LOVED it!! We also gave him his present from us. He has really enjoyed playing with his house.

His birthday was the week before Thanksgiving, so we decided to celebrate by having a party with each of our families. The first party was in Philadelphia with Justin's family.

He LOVED eating his cake!!!

Later in the week, we headed to Tupelo for a party with my side of the family. He had lots of help opening his presents!

Graham has had two teeth come in, an ear infection in each ear, and a yucky cough...what a trooper he has been! He hasn't let it slow him down much!

Parker's Birthday Party

Graham had a great time on Saturday at Parker's 2nd birthday party! As you can tell, the red napkin was a huge hit!

He really liked watching Parker open his presents! He tried to get in on the action. Before he made it all the way to the presents, he decided he wanted to stand up! Well the cute little girl with the light pink pants on seemed to be just perfect for helping him up....the funny thing is that he grabbed the pockets right on her bottom to help himself up! She turn around and made the funniest face! It was hilarious, and I am so sad that I didn't get a picture or a video of it!

First Haircut

Graham had his first haircut yesterday! It is very hard to believe that he is old enough to need a haircut, but boy did he need it!!! He had little wings above each of his ears. He was so proud to be sitting so high in the chair, and he did a fantastic job while Kayla cut his hair! He looks so much older now!

Sadly, I haven't taken too many pictures recently! I was even in Tupelo and didn't take one picture until we were loading up the car!

We are staying pretty busy around here! Graham is great! He can crawl anywhere, but he has to really want something to go get it. He is usually content where ever he is. He loves playing with electronics...he crawls most often to our tv to play with it, the dvd player, the speakers, and dvds. He can pull up onto almost anything and LOVES standing up. He also loves eating and seems to like anything that we feed him...as long as it is cold. He doesn't like to eat anything that is warm. What a joy!!

Beach Trip

We had a wonderful time at the beach last week with Justin's mom, Steven, Brandie, Tim, and Drew! The weather was perfect...August is the best time to go!!! There wasn't a wait at any of the restaurants that we went to, and some days, we were the only people at the pool! We stayed at the Caribe in Orange Beach, which is a great place for babies. It is a little far from the beach, but the pools were perfect for us!!

Graham LOVED swimming in the pool! He became very brave as the week passed by. He has always loved bathtime, but it is much more exciting for him now that he really knows how to splash!
I think this was the best shot we got of everyone...it is hard to get two babies to look at the camera at the same time:)

Drew Came to Visit

We had a great time last weekend! Brandie, Tim, and Drew came in for the weekend from Raleigh, and since two grandsons were at our house, Papa, Granny, and Kiley couldn't have missed out on the fun! We had a great weekend watching the boys! Graham watched every move that Drew made...we were hoping it might encourage Graham to crawl, but he is VERY content to play in one place!!

8 Months

I can't believe that Graham is already 8 months old!!! The first year of his life is flying by!! We are having such a great time watching him grow up. He is such a happy, easy going baby who is so observant. He is eating all kinds of new food and loves eating Cheerios! He is still not crawling, but is getting closer everyday...he is happier if he is standing up and walking! I don't know if we (or our house) is ready for him to crawl, but we are really not ready for a walker!

I am having a tough time getting pictures of him lately. He is moving all over the place and will not sit still!

Almost One Month Later

Sorry that it has been almost a month since our last post!! We have been busy having fun the last couple of weeks, but of course, most of the time we haven't had our camera.

Justin and I went to The Red Apple Inn in Heber Springs, AR to celebrate our 5th anniversary at the beginning of July. We had a great trip! We went kayaking a couple of times while we were there and enjoyed relaxing! Graham stayed at my parents and had a great time on the 4th at the Highland Circle 4th of July parade. I need to get some of the pictures from my parents.

Goldman Reunion

What a great tradition the Goldmans have!!! Justin's Dad and his 4 brothers have such a special relationship! The whole family gets together every summer for a long weekend; this has been a tradition for a long time! When I first met Justin, I quickly learned that this was a big deal! NO ONE misses, and the best thing is that no one wants to miss!

They have out grown every MS state park, so we had it this year at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park in Pelahatchie. It was the perfect place for us and has plenty of room for our growing family! We had a great time and can't wait for next year's reunion!

"Happy" Graham took a little vacation, but he decided to come back last week. He has been a little irritable the last month and has cried a lot more than usual. Thankfully, he is back and is happier than ever!

Baby Food

I have been making Graham's baby food. It is actually kind of fun. Misty, my sweet friend, showed me how easy it is. I have made it twice and spent about an hour and a half making it each time. This week I made mango, pears, apples, zucchini, and green beans. I have some sweet potatoes and butternut squash left over from last month. He will eat just about anything, but he really likes sweet potatoes, squash, pears, and mango.

Memorial Day

We had a wonderful time at Pickwick with my family for Memorial Day! We ate more than one family should ever eat in one weekend, skied, and went kayaking. Justin brought his kayak, and then we borrowed two from Trails and Treads in Tupelo. I think everyone enjoyed riding them! Dad even decided to get one for an early Father's Day present!!

Sadly, I only took one picture...and it isn't good! I'll post some better ones if I get them from Katie, Whitney or Mom.

We did celebrate Sam's first birthday while we were there. You can tell that he enjoyed his cake! He is the sweetest, most content little boy!

Wow...I can't believe Graham is 6 months old!! He is smiling and laughing a lot now! We went to the doctor today...he weighs 16 lbs. 14 oz. and is 28 inches long! He has started kicking and smiling really big when he gets really excited about something. He does it when he thinks we are about to go outside and everyday when Justin gets home!! He would live outside, but he's going to have a problem pretty soon because it is getting HOT outside...and he doesn't like getting hot. What a JOY!

Baby Dedication

We had Graham's Baby Dedication at church last night! It was a very special night to commit ourselves to raising him in a Godly home! It is our honor to be the ones that daily teach him scripture and share the gospel with him throughout his childhood! We pray that he will be saved at an early age and will want to live his life as a servant for Christ. We are so thankful to have family that will help us bring him up in the way of the Lord. We are also blessed to have a church family that is dedicated to teach him God's Word so faithfully!

We were so glad that Justin's parents were able to be here for this special night! We got a picture with his dad and Donna, but didn't get one with his mom and Steven...we really need to get better at taking pictures!!

The church gave us a book that looks really good, Teach Them Diligently by Lou Priolo.

We also have another great book that Cindy and Mike Thompson gave us when Graham was born, Praying the Scriptures for your Children by Jodie Berndt. It is a fantastic book that gives you scripture to pray for different areas in your child's life, like their faith, safety, character, relationships, and their future. For instance, if you are praying for your child to have wisdom and discernment, one of the prayers is : "Fill Graham with the knowledge of your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that he might live a life worthy of you, Lord, and please you in every way. Colossians 1:9-10" It is a book that I highly recommend to any parent!!!

Outside = Happy Baby

Graham LOVES being outside! Almost anytime that he is crying, he stops as soon as we take him outside. We sometimes go on two or three walks a day, especially right before Justin gets home. So we decided to get him a swing for our back porch, and he LOVES it!!

We have been super busy the last couple of weeks!

Justin had a meeting in Houston last week, so I jumped at the opportunity to go visit!! We hadn't seen Kevin and Misty since they got back to Dubai and since Graham and Josh were born, so our visit with them was way overdue! We had SUCH a FUN time with them!!! Oh how we wish they were our next door neighbors!!!

We had a great time visiting GRBC, our old church! There have been so many new babies born since we moved, so it was great to see all of them!

Graham is almost always happy, unless he is hungry or tired...BUT he was one unhappy camper while we were there!! I think the only time he smiled was when Isabella and Elijah made him happy at Pappasitas. Thankfully, he was great on the plane and was back to normal by the time we got home.

It was good that he cheered up because we got home late Tuesday night, and left early Wednesday morning to go to Tupelo! My dad had been in the hospital, and I was couldn't wait to go check on him. Thankfully, he is doing great!!! We had so much fun getting to visit everyone there. I also celebrated my 28th birthday while I was there!

Of course, I took no pictures, so I will post some that I have taken during the last couple of weeks.

Sorry it has been awhile!! We are having so much fun with sweet Graham! He is such an easy baby and has been such a blessing!

His hands are in his mouth all the time now!

Graham keeps on putting his face against the bumper pad, so we gave him this sweet little duck to sleep with! He loves is and holds on to it all night! Thanks Laurie for the duck!

Great Weekend Getaways

Justin and I started out our weekend by going to the Grand Hotel in Point Clear on Friday night. Although we did miss Graham, we had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our time alone! We loved riding bikes in front of the old houses on the bay. Graham went with my parents to Destin for the weekend, and we joined them Saturday afternoon.

Then we had a very relaxing time in Destin!! This was Graham's 2nd trip to Destin, but his first time to go on the beach! He loves being outside, so he enjoyed the beach! The weather was perfect!!

We went to church on Sunday morning for the Easter service at SEASIDE. It had to be the most unique church service we have ever been to! If you have been to Seaside, you know that the chapel is beautiful, but pretty small. We got there really early, but not early enough! The chapel was full, the over flow tent that they always have was full, and by the time church started, one huge tent and two lawns around the church were full of people. There were people leaning on cars, sitting on beach chairs in the grass, standing up, etc. The sun was out, but it was very windy and cool. That was probably the only church service I will attend where I needed a jacket and sunscreen at the same time. Thankfully, I had a sweater for Graham, and Justin had his beach hat. I wasn't expecting him to wear his beach hat with his Easter outfit!! I didn't get to hear the sermon because I had to walk around with Graham when he got fussy, but the service/day was a great reminder of the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for our sins!!

4 Months

We started feeding him rice cereal. He knew just how to swallow it the first bite! So far, he LOVES it! I'm sure that will change once he tastes better baby food. We also love his new high chair!!

We met Emily and Troy last weekend at the Eastern Shore Arts Festival in Fairhope! We had a great time getting to see them!!

Graham is all smiles these days !!!
The funny thing about Graham's smile is that he sticks out his tongue when he smiles...just like me!

We went to the doctor today for Graham's 4 month check up! He is doing great! He weighs 14 pounds 4 ounces and is 26 inches long. She didn't tell me what percentage his head is, but it must have been off the charts because she measured it twice to make sure she was right the first time!

Home Sweet Home

We were able to go home and see all of Justin's family the weekend before last. Then Graham and I went to Tupelo to see my family for a whole week while my mom had spring break! We had such a great time! It is always SO great to be back home.

Graham did GREAT! He was so good in Tupelo...and he finally slept until around 6:30 each morning, and then would go back to sleep until 8:30. I couldn't wait to come home and have him sleep that long, but of course, the first night home he was up 2 times before 6:30.

We had a great time this weekend with Whitney, Marcus, and the kids! They all stayed here on Friday night, and then we kept Sam on Saturday night. I can't wait for Graham and Sam to be able to play together...this weekend, they just played beside each other!

Three Months Update:

We are having such a great time with Graham! Emily Gardner and Justin were talking at dinner on Friday night about what job they would like to have if there were no circumstances that would get in the way (like where to live, how much money you would make, etc.). The whole time they were talking, I couldn't think of one thing I would rather do than be a mom.

Graham is FINALLY better. He had a low fever for about 7 weeks. After 10 trips to the doctor, 3 antibiotics, and a lot of temp checks, he is finally fever free!!

He is a busy boy; he already prefers standing up and moving around in our laps vs. sitting still. Since he wants to stand so much, we went ahead and got an exersaucer for him. He LOVES it!

Graham's First Laugh!!

Yesterday Graham had his first real laugh! He "talks" all the time with little noises, but he had not laughed before yesterday. He was sitting in his bouncey seat just looking up at the fan turning, and then he just started laughing at it. It was so cute. So, of course, we immediately got out the camcorder and have posted the video. Please ignore the sounds of me laughing and talking to him, but it helped him to continue to laugh.

What a Difference a Week Makes!

It is so crazy to see how fast things change with Graham. Last week, he could only sit in his Bumbo for just a second and his head was tilted backwards. Today I put him in it, and his neck was strong enough to hold his head up straight for a long time.

He is smiling all the time now and tries so hard to talk to us! He can make some little noises, but any time we talk to him you can tell he is trying really hard to talk back.

He is also sleeping until 4 or 5 now!! That is so much better than waking up two times during the night!

We had to take him to the doctor again on Friday for his fever and congestion. He has had a low grade fever now for 4 weeks. Thankfully he doesn't have anything major, but something is causing his body to have fever. They gave him an antibiotic to help clear up the congestion, so please pray that he will get better soon!

It is hard to believe that Graham is 2 months old. In some ways it feels like he has been a part of our family for a lot longer than that, and in some ways it seems like he was just born yesterday. Everyone has always said to cherish each little thing that they do because babies change so quickly. Here are some things that Graham is doing at 2 months:

- He weighs 12 pounds 8 ounces...75th%

- He is 25 inches long...97th%

- Graham smiles all the time! It is so precious to see his smile, especially when Justin and I are around!

- He also pouts. Thankfully he smiles a lot more than he pouts, but boy does he know how to stick that bottom lip out!

- He loves for you to sing to him. I am a terrible singer, but he doesn't care. Justin and I have learned many new songs over the last month.

- Graham isn't a very good sleeper. He loves to catnap. He was almost sleeping through the night before Christmas, but now he will sleep for about 6 hours and then 4 hours. I can't wait for the night that I can sleep for at least 8 hours at one time!!

- He plays alot more now! He loves his playmat and his bouncy seat. Too bad he prefers the $30 bouncy seat over the $140 swing that we bought him!

Thankfully, Graham is one of the happiest babies! He rarely ever cries, and when he does, he has a reason! He has had a low grade fever for a week, and he has been a trooper the whole time. The doctors poked and pricked him so many times...I think it hurt me more than it hurt him. After all of the poking, we think it is a virus. Hopefully his fever will go away soon!!!

I love this little expression!

He brought tears to my eyes this morning. He was playing while I went to get my breakfast. As soon as I sat down beside him, he got the biggest smile on his face! I am not as silly or as funny as Justin is with Graham, but it made my day to see him get so excited to see me...boring old mom! It is amazing how much joy Graham has brought into our family!

I accidentally gave Graham his first bubble bath. I put the Johnson's Bedtime Bath in right when I turned the water on, and it quickly filled the sink with a TON of bubbles! Graham really liked it until the end when we tried to get all of the bubbles off of him.

I am amazed daily how quickly babies change. It seems like everyday Graham is making a new face or sound or I can tell how he is growing. Babies are truly a miracle from God and are such a blessing.

Graham is growing like a weed. We went to the doctor before Christmas, and he was 24 inches long...97th percentile! He is now smiling, especially at his dad. He is also beginning to play more, which is a ton of fun for us! He had been sleeping for about 6 hours at night, but while we were gone for Christmas he seemed to back track a bit! Now he will only sleep for about 4 at a time...hopefully he will start sleeping longer again soon. I am ready for a good night's sleep:)

Santa's elves came early!! We got new countertops today! We are so excited; the countertops in this house were awful!! They were very old and were covered in stains. Now, I guess it is time to think about what we want to do next...maybe tile the bathroom floors?

One Month Old...Time Flies

It is hard to believe that Graham is one month old today! We go to the doctor tomorrow, and I can't wait to see his stats. I don't know if he has gained any weight, but he seems so much longer. He is now wearing a lot of his 3 month clothes. He isn't really chunky, but he is already almost too long for some of his 3 month clothes.

Here are some pictures I took today. It doesn't seem like it is 7 days before Christmas. I took Graham outside to take pictures because it is a warm 78 outside. Sadly, we had to come in because the mosquitoes were too bad! We are looking forward to heading to north MS in hopes of cooler weather...we also can't wait to see all of our family!

Christ Fellowship Baptist

I will start out by saying that one of the hardest things to leave when we moved from Houston was the preaching and relationships that we had at our church, GRBC. We still miss Brad's teaching and everyone there...I even cried last week when Misty called me from church. Before we decided to move, we wanted to know that we would find a church that was similar to our church in Houston...and God answered our prayers.

It has been such a blessing to go to Christ Fellowship Baptist in Mobile. Today was the first day that we took Graham to church, and I saw things in a whole new way. It is our duty as parents to raise Graham in a home where the word of God is taught, but it is so reassuring to know that our church is also there to help teach him the importance of scripture and how to live a Godly life. We are so thankful to be in a church with such a gifted pastor who has a passion for teaching God's word. Not only is Dr. Lawson a great teacher, but there are so many people in the church who serve God in so many ways who impact our lives.

Growing Graham

I can't believe how fast Graham is growing. Last week, we went for his two week check-up. He weight 8 lbs. 9 oz. when he was born, at his check up he weighed 9 lbs. He had fever all weekend, so I took him back to the doctor today. He gained 14 ounces this week!!! So now, he is 9 lbs. 14 oz.

He is already starting to notice more. Today he started playing with his first toy!

He wears real clothes everyday, and some days Graham wears many outfits...but we tried and tried to get an announcement picture in a onsie, so that's what he is wearing in most of the pictures we have. He also seems to look so different in his pictures.

Graham has the longest hair I have ever seen on a baby. It has even grown since he was born. This is what his hair did naturally last night. It is usually just a little spikey. I wonder when we will have to give him his first haircut. I hope this hair doesn't fall out anytime soon...it is precious!

Being a mom is the best thing in the world! I love little Graham more than I ever thought I could love someone. It is amazing how happy Graham has made the two of us! We have laughed and smiled so much in the last two weeks! Like Justin said, he is the best little baby ever! Graham really never cries and makes the sweetest little faces!

We have had so many special visitors. I hope Graham knows how many people love him!

Graham has had a little eye infection, so we haven't taken too many pictures of him in the last couple of days. He sleeps most of the time, so here are some pictures of him sleeping. Graham Update

I thought by now Rebecca might have made a post of her own, but she's been a little busy so I will provide a brief update.

Graham has been doing very well. He is such a calm tempered baby for which we are very thankful. He really only cries if he is hungry or if he has a dirty diaper. Last night he was fussy when he first went to bed, but after his first night feeding he slept well the rest of the night. We have been so blessed that he is so calm.

It is so amazing to hold this little life that God has created and entrusted to our care. I am so humbled by God's great mercy and grace. We are so unworthy of such a wonderful blessing and so incapable of this great responsibility. We are thankful that we have Christ as our Strength and Guide.

He has had a few visitors come by the house already, and he enjoyed them. He doesn't seem to mind being passed back and forth and letting everyone hold him. He just either sleeps or just looks around absorbing his new environment and new friends.

I will update more later, but for now I'll post a few more pictures of our little fellow.

Happy Birthday Baby Graham!

Sweet little Graham made his appearance to the world on November 19, 2007, at 8:15 p.m. He weighted 8 lbs. 9 oz. and measured 22 in. long!

Mom worked very hard for the little fellow (or big fellow if you ask Mom), and Graham and I are very thankful for her. We returned home with our precious little boy on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and he and Mom have been doing well. I have had the night shift, and Graham and I had some good bonding time Wednesday night because he would only sleep about 10 minutes at a time. He did much better last night by allowing me to sleep between each feeding.

Rebecca's parents are here with us for the week, and they are life savers. I don't know what we would have done without their help. They have been doing all sorts of chores from cooking and cleaning, to Graham duty. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal yesterday that Rebecca's parents prepared. We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. God is so wonderful to bless us with such a beautiful gift.

He is so sweet that his Mom and I don't want to stop looking at him and holding him. He certainly has not had a lack of attention this week. I will stop rambling for now and give everyone what they really want...pictures of Mr. Graham.

3 Days to Go!

It is crazy to think that Justin and I will be parents in 3 days...or less! If Graham has not come by Monday, the doctor will induce on Monday morning at 6:45!!! As of Monday, I had dilated 2 cm and was 50% effaced. Hopefully, things have progressed since then and that I will be even farther along by Monday morning. I didn't really want to be induced if my body wasn't ready, but at least something has started. My doctor doesn't want me to go past my due date since Graham has been measuring 3 weeks early for the last month.

Justin and I can't wait to see him! We know that having a baby is such a huge blessing and are so thankful for him! We'll update as soon as we get home from the hospital!

Go State, Go!

Yes, I know that hanging decorative flags outside your house was probably "in style" about 10-15 years ago. I know growing up we had a turkey for Thanksgiving, a watermelon for summer, snowy trees for winter, etc. Well, we live on the SEC cul-de-sac, and we have to represent MSU whether it is in style or not. Just about every house has an Auburn, Alabama, or LSU flag by their front door. When we played LSU, we went ahead and put ours out knowing that LSU would probably beat us pretty badly. But the great thing is, now we have beaten Auburn and Alabama! Everyone that comes to our house comments on the Bulldogs! It is hard not to be a fair weather fan, but it is so much more fun when we are winning!!

Although we really miss our friends in Houston, it is fun to be back in the SEC. We missed out on 4 years of SEC football, baseball, and basketball. Since we have moved back, we had a good basketball season, an even better baseball season, and a winning football season!
